Adventist Health Glendale Earns 8th Consecutive A Grade from The Leapfrog Group
We couldn’t be more proud of our associates at Adventist Health Glendale, who have received their eighth consecutive A grade from The Leapfrog Grop. In honor of this achievement, we’d like to share the letter that Alice Issai, our president of Adventist Health Glendale, wrote to honor our team for holding themselves accountable to the highest standards.
Dear Adventist Health Glendale Associates,
We’ve done it again! Patient safety organization, The Leapfrog Group, recently published its Fall 2018 scorecard and I am proud to announce AHGL received its eighth consecutive ‘A’ grade.
Leapfrog’s Hospital Safety Score is calculated by top patient safety experts who recognize hospitals for their strong commitment to patient safety. Developed under the guidance of an expert panel, the Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade uses 30 measures of publicly available hospital safety data to assign letter grades to approximately 2,500 U.S. hospitals twice a year, helping consumers protect themselves and their families from errors, injuries, accidents and infections. The report is peer-reviewed, fully transparent and free to the public.
Earning an A (let alone eight A’s in a row) is no easy task. This achievement is made possible by you – our amazing team of physicians, clinical staff and associates who have worked so hard to keep patient care, safety, and outcomes as the focus of our success. Congratulations on an ‘A’ well deserved.
But wait! The excellence doesn’t stop here. In addition to receiving our eighth Leapfrog A and being voted as the Best Hospital in Glendale for the fifth year in a row by the readers of the Glendale News Press, Healthgrades also recently released its 2019 clinical achievement awards and AHGL earned a number of them! See the comprehensive list of Healthgrades awards below.
All these accomplishments from this year are representations of the caliber of care we hold ourselves accountable to here at Adventist Health Glendale. You should be proud – I know I am.
Thank you for all of the heart and hard work you put into caring for our community,
